About:
Well....in just a few short months both my brother and I will have found our way back to Seattle. Things didn't work out exactly how I thought they would but I look back on my Philippines experience and know that I was there. I was present and willing to try. Now that I am back in Seattle I hope I can continue to have the courage to live in the present.

Hanging with friends
My great friends Jeff and Jenny Gough have been nice enough to play host on my Seattle overnighters. It's fun hanging out with them. Their guest bedroom has the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Jenny always makes great food. Jeff always makes delicious smoothies...how can I get out here more often :) Lately Jeff and I have been playing a lot of soccer and as always, a little guitar.

Start of Home Recording
I am going to spend the next two weeks recording a record I've been planning for too many years, So Great a Love. The album will center around the theme of unrequited love and it will be my attempt to share my experience. It will be low-fi but I don't care, I want to be done with this! Enough said...time to record.

Boracay - Day 5
Our last evening in Boracay, a midnight snack. This evening Karen and I outlasted our friends Erik and Michelle and were able to hang with Mike and Ruffa, the night owls.

Boracay - Day 4
Though the day started sunny, like most days for the past few weeks, the rain came resulting in a soggy boat ride. We managed. After warm showers and a nap, the evening was spent under cover playing shuffleboard, pool and foosball. We spent much of our time enjoying these activities undercover activities, lucky for us, they're really fun activities.

Boracay - Day 3
We went to the market and bought a bunch of fresh seafood, then the Turttle Inn staff prepared it for us

Boracay - Day 2
We spent the day at the beach and the evening out enjoying many of the establishments along the beach's boardwalk. Earlier in the day we found a foosball table so we returned in the evening to refine our game and challenge the locals (they destroyed us!).

Boracay - Day 1
We took a short flight from Manila to Cataclan, a short boat ride from Cataclan to Boracay island and a short tri-cycle ride to White beach, Turtle Inn Resort. Where we settled in and immediately went out to enjoy the island.
